Alex is a partner in the firm and leads PARRIS’ Class Action and Business Litigation practice groups. Alex also represents the Firm’s clients in severe personal injury and wrongful death cases in both the mass- and single-plaintiff context. Alex has been selected to the 2012, 2013 and 2014 Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars List. Alex has been appointed as Lead Class Counsel in dozens of federal and state class actions and has obtained over $400 million in verdicts and settlements over the course of his career. Alex was also on the faculty at Pepperdine University School of Law, where he taught “Advanced Trial Practice”.

Alex has been quoted frequently in the Los Angeles Times, Pasadena Star News, the Orange County Register, the Los Angeles Daily Journal, Law 360 – and has appeared on several Los Angeles-area television news stations – in connection with his representation of clients.


  • In June of 2015, Mr. Wheeler obtained in Los Angeles Superior Court a jury verdict of $20.9 million on behalf of three of his clients that were injured in a head-on car crash.
  • Trial counsel, with R. Rex Parris, on Marciano v. Fahs, which resulted in $370,000,000 jury verdict – the largest verdict in the United States in 2009.
  • Served as Lead Class Counsel in wage-and-hour class action against large public utility company, which settled for $29,000,000.
  • Obtained a post- jury verdict settlement of $10,500,000 in a personal injury case against DHL Express, USA;
  • Served as Lead Class Counsel in dozens of wage-and-hour and consumer class actions that have settled for $1,000,000 and higher.
  • Currently representing putative class members in pending wage-and-hour and consumer class action cases all over California and the United States.
